The Transportation office collected the data by analyzing the enrollment number for the Mass Transit Subsidy program and the number of commuting parking permits issued.

The Office of Transportation and Parking does not know the number of students who walk or bicycle to campus. The percentage above is the percentage of students who live on campus, and therefore most likely use non-motorized means to attend class.
