A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about employee commuting:
All employees were sent a link to a two-question online survey; the survey remained open for one week. 119 people (49%) completed the survey. The questions were: 1. "Do you commute to the College using any combination of the following transportation modes? Walking or bicycling; van-pooling or car-pooling; riding a motorcycle or scooter; riding a campus shuttle; telecommuting 50% ore more of your regular work hours." and 2. "Which is your PRIMARY mode of transportation to and from campus?" with the reporting fields indicated as above. We are a rural campus; the closest access to public transportation would be the Amtrak station 30 miles away.
