Is the institution's default not to print course catalogs, course schedules, and directories, but instead make these materials available online?:
A brief description of the practice:
Red River College switched from providing a hard copy staff directory annually to providing the information online. In addition to saving the equivalent of 18 trees and $7,000 annually, the program also improves the validity of staff contact info as the database can be updated frequently.
Our College Relations department has implemented the following changes to reduce impacts of paper consumption.
• We no longer print the academic program catalogue. It is available as a PDF on the website.
• We are not printing RED magazine anymore, instead we produce RED Report (which appears as a page in the WFP newspaper) and publish our content via a series of blogs (online)
• We produce a regular e-newsletter for alumni and part-time students
