A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

Sara Macarthur, the manager of sustainability presents at all new employee orientations. The new staff will learn about the sustainability initiatives of the college and encourage staff to play their part in helping our College strive to be a sustainability leader. The topics covered include: an overview of our environmental sustainability policy; information about our recycling and waste reduction program; a brief introduction about our LEED certified building (HET-C); encouraging staff to bring their own bottles to work instead of purchasing bottled water; and information on student and staff engagement activities.
