Does campus dining operations offer discounts to customers who use reusable mugs instead of disposable cups in to-go food service operations?:
A brief description of the reusable mug program:
The Café @ Rio provides discounts for re-usable coffee and tea cups and mugs, as well as re-filled soft drink glasses. A soft drink or iced tea is $.90 for a refill for any size re-usable cup. A large soft drink is $1.25, thus a savings of $0.35 if they don’t bring a reusable mug. A medium soft drink is $1.15,, thus a savings of $0.25. Coffee is $1.00 in a refillable mug while the customer would pay $1.75 for a large coffee or $1.50 for a medium, that aren’t in reusable mugs. Thus coffee savings are either $0.75 or $0.50 per cup.
