Rio Salado College administers several surveys annually. Each survey contains questions that assess diversity and equity at the various institutions. These surveys are outlined below.

All Employee Survey
An online survey is administered to all Rio Salado College employees annually, with the most recent survey being administered during the fall 2010 semester. The survey consisted of 48 questions that asked about levels of awareness and knowledge in regards to many aspects of Rio Salado College. The respondents were asked to rate their level of agreement on a five-point scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) on the 48 statements.

Partnership Survey
An online survey is administered annually to Rio Salado College’s successful long-term partners, including corporations, government agencies, and community organizations. The most recent survey was administered during the spring 2011 semester. The survey consisted of 16 questions that asked about Rio Salado College’s level of service to its partners. The respondents were asked to rate their level of agreement (strongly disagree to strongly agree) on the 16 statements.

Community Survey
An online survey is administered to community members annually, with the most recent survey administered during the spring 2011 semester. The survey consisted of 14 questions that asked about Rio Salado College’s level of involvement and service to the communities that the college serves. The respondents were asked to rate their level of agreement (strongly disagree to strongly agree) on the 14 statements.

Leadership Council
An online survey is administered to Rio Salado College’s Leadership Council annually, with the most recent survey administered during the spring 2011 semester. The RSC Leadership Council consists of all faculty chairs, leaders of employee groups, and administrators at the associate dean level and higher. The survey consisted of 79 questions that asked about the many aspects of the services Rio Salado College provides to the students, as well as ongoing internal reviews. The respondents were asked to rate their level of agreement (strongly disagree to strongly agree) on the 79 statements.

The Rio Salado College Leadership Council monitors survey results, ensuring that all target measures are achieved and that any shortcomings are addressed by the process owner with an intervention strategy. Survey results are used to guide employee development and promote the core value of inclusiveness throughout the institution.
