A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

Inclusiveness is a core value of Rio Salado College. Through living our values, Rio Salado College creates a climate of high expectations for the success of current and future students, clients, and employees.

Throughout the year, Rio Salado offers a number of brown bag lunch meetings that explore diversity and inclusiveness. Subject matter experts are brought in from the community to lead the sessions, which all employees and students are welcome to attend. The meetings are recorded and linked to the Rio employee portal so they can be accessed at a later date for those who are unable to attend the in-person event.
