Yes

A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:

Inclusiveness is a core value of Rio Salado College. Through living our values, Rio Salado College creates a climate of high expectations for the success of our current and future students, clients, and employees.

Throughout the year, Rio Salado offers a number of brown bag lunch meetings that explore diversity and inclusiveness. Subject matter experts are brought in from the community to lead the sessions, and all employees and students are welcome to attend. The meetings are recorded and linked to the Rio employee portal so they can be accessed at a later date for those who are unable to attend the in-person event. The activities and trainings are all non-credit courses.

Additional trainings offered to students include:

• Introduction to Eastern Religions: Quantum Spirituality
• Navajo Storytelling Session
• Introduction to Kabbalah
• Through the Eyes of a Gringa - Eight Weeks in Peru and Ecuador
• Introduction to Buddhism
