A brief description of the program, policy, or practice:

RIT’s Housing Operations will be offering gender neutral housing in the residence halls for incoming freshman beginning in the fall 2012. A small section of space has been reserved in Mark Ellingson Hall and rooms will accommodate mixed-gender roommate pairs. This new offering is part of Housing’s dedicated efforts to provide innovative community and living spaces that are desired by students.
