Yes

A brief description of the management system:

Royal Roads University uses the Smarttool program which is a manual tracking system that allows the consumption and performance of all the buildings to be measured. (6, personal communication, June 1, 2010).

Entered into the Smarttool program is the following information;

• the consumption (kWh);
• the date;
• the monthly meter reads from the BC Hydro;
• the amount of gas (GJ) purchased from Terasen Gas for all 12 metered buildings;
• the amount of fuel oil (L) and dates of deliveries from Columbia Fuels or Chevron for the 4 residencies;
• the amount (L) of diesel and dates of delivery from Chevron for the 2 diesel generators;
• the amount (L) of regular, diesel or propane fuel used for each vehicle in the Royal Roads University fleet and the amount, and;
• the type and size of paper used on campus
