Yes

Does the institution have a program in place to recycle, reuse, and/or refurbish all electronic waste generated by students and take measures to ensure that the electronic waste is recycled responsibly?:
No

A brief description of steps taken to ensure that e-waste is recycled responsibly, workers’ basic safety is protected, and environmental standards are met:

All institution-based e-waste generated on our campus is recycled through Central Appliance in St. Cloud, MN, which is monitored by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.

A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for institution-generated materials:

All institution-based e-waste is handled by IT Services, which monitors and maintains all computers/electronics on campus. All of this e-waste is recycled through Central Appliance in St. Cloud, MN.

A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for student-generated materials :

Custodial Services also provides services to recycle student-generated e-waste. This service, however, is done randomly by Custodial Services, and is not institution-wide (if they happen to spot/find a recyclable electronic device on campus that was improperly disposed of, they seize it and take it to Central Appliance in St. Cloud to be recycled). There is too much student electronic waste to monitor it all and restrict students from simply throwing it away, although we are preparing more information resources so that students can more easily navigate acceptable disposal solutions.
