A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the student body:
Federal TRiO programs are run at Seattle Central that offers academic support and mentoring for students from underrepresented groups who partake in these programs.
Student clubs support affinity groups for international students. These offer peer support for students who come to Seattle Central from other countries. These include:
-MECHA
-Black Student Union
-Triangle Club
-First Generation Student Club
-Chinese Student Club
- Filipino Student Club
-Student Veteran Association
-Many others
The Multicultural Office does outreach specifically to marginalized groups to help students become aware of the resources at the student and institutional level.
A Disability Services Office exists to serve students with many kinds of disability.
The Women's Program helps get women back to higher education, offering financial services and support and child care and support.
A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the faculty:
The Multicultural Office does outreach specifically to marginalized groups to help faculty become aware of the resources at the institutional level. Resources to partake with professional development for underrepresented groups are offered specifically to faculty.
