A brief description of the time period from which the figures reported above are drawn (i.e. one-year time period or representative sample):

The numbers reported above are drawn from a representative sample:

--The sample includes ALL FY17 data from SU's Refresh program: SU's ITS manages the Computer Refresh Program (CRP), which ensures that university faculty and staff workstations are stocked with the latest technology. Computer Refresh begins in the summer and extends into the Fall Quarter every year. ITS keeps a record of all campus workstations and identifies which are up for refresh every year. ITS technicians will then work with department heads to finalize the list of machines that will be included in the next refresh cycle: https://www.seattleu.edu/its/collab/crp/

--The Total expenditures by the Refresh program in FY17 was $661,970.30 for 769 products. Not all products are EPEAT rateable: the EPEAT registry currently includes desktops, laptops/notebooks, workstations, thin clients, displays (computer monitors), televisions, printers, copiers, scanners, multifunction devices, fax machines, digital duplicators and mailing machines.
Our sample includes only the EPEAT rateable products, that is: an expenditure of $451,750.20 for 433 products.

--The sample includes the following products: desktops, laptops, workstations, displays, and TVs.
