Does the institution collaborate with other colleges and universities to support and help build the campus sustainability community?:
Yes

A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

1. In the fall we will present a webinar, offered to more than 50 institutions, on our experiences using undergraduate students to provide energy conservation services on campus and achieve real energy savings.

2. We have presented a paper on students and energy conservation at AASHE Conference in 2011. In 2013, Sewanee was an active participant at the AASHE Conference in Nashville, with over a dozen students presenting various sustainability projects they had completed.

3. We have participated in 350.org events including sending more than 50 persons to the Keystone pipeline event that surrounded the White House. This was followed by sending a group of students and faculty to the People's Climate March in September 2014.

4. Sewanee students served as PowerSave interns under the guidance of the Alliance to Save Energy for the three years (2011-2014).

Sewanee is hosting a conference this summer with 15 ACS institutions to develop an program that offers a Sustainability Certificate, using shared, on-line teaching combined with experiential learning using each institution’s unique resources.
Assistant Provost Jon Evans is participating in peer reviews of the sustainability programs at Furman and Dickenson Colleges.
