The Building Environmental Systems Operator certificate (created Fall 1997) provides training to operate a healthy, energy efficient and economically viable building in any sector. The program offers skills to operate and handle heating systems, air conditioning and refrigeration units, electrical systems as well as air handling, preventive and corrective maintenance, and water treatment programs. Almost all of the courses required for the certificate include some aspect of sustainability.

In addition, the Faculty of Continuing and Professional Studies offers a Recognition of Achievement program, called Environmental Development (created Fall 2016), that includes 5 courses focused on sustainability.
