A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:

-On our sustainability website, we share our Eco Dawgs Report (Green Fund/Sustainability Project Reports), Sustainability Council Report to the Chancellor, The student Garden Project Report. We also have guides to incorporate sustainability into a curriculum. All resources are available for everyone to view at

-Shannon McDonald, a professor at SIU, presented at the 2015 AASHE Conference on sustainable transportation.

-Geory Kurtzhals, Sustainability Coordinator, spoke at the 2016 Applied Sciences and Arts Multidisciplinary Research Symposium, which served the regional university community. The topic was sustainability and innovation in the applied sciences and arts.

-Geory Kurtzhals, Sustainability Coordinator, spoke at the 2016 ILAPPA spring meeting as part of the sustainability panel discussion.

In an informal way, the Sustainability Office communicates with other universities' sustainability office teams to share ideas. The sustainability coordinator attended the 2016 summer sustainability officers retreat and continues to network with other university sustainability professionals met at this event and other events.
