A brief description of the natural wastewater systems used to handle the institution’s wastewater:

To comply with NY regulations, St. John's University employs a water retention bin to slowly release waste water from the campus into the NYC sewer system. The University also uses permeable materials for its grounds to reduce excessive run off into the sewer systems.
