Yes

A brief description of the facilities for bicycle commuters:

All buildings on campus are equipped with bicycle infrastructure. The University provides bicycle racks outside of every building and every residential facility has indoor bicycle storage areas. Showering facilities and lockers are available to all students, faculty, and staff at our athletic center.


Does the institution provide short-term bicycle parking for all occupied buildings and makes long-term bicycle storage available for students who live on-site (if applicable)?:
Yes

All occupied buildings are equipped with at least one exterior bicycle rack. For long-term storage there are covered bicycle racks and/or designed bicycle storage areas inside of the buildings.


Does the institution have a bicycle and pedestrian plan or policy (or adhere to a local community plan/policy) that sets standards and practices for campus streets to enable safe access for all users?:
Yes

A brief description of the bicycle and pedestrian plan or policy:

The University has designated the campus a "Walking Campus." All transportation policies state this philosophy. For example, our Motor Vehicle Policy begins with "A Walking Campus - The central philosophy guiding the University's parking policy is our commitment to a walking campus." All of us - students, faculty, staff and visitors - should be confident of the freedom to walk from place to place without interference from cars, motorcycles and other vehicles. We also believe that a walking campus is more consistent with our commitment to the environment.

Therefore, we have established procedures for registering and parking vehicles on campus to assure the safety of students, faculty, staff and visiting drivers and pedestrians on campus. A parking permit gives us all the information we need to help you use University parking areas safely and conveniently. We also work to maintain emergency access to all buildings and areas on campus. We have chosen not to expend funds on additional parking, so consideration is most important in locating a space that meets your needs.
Your cooperation with the regulations will improve the sense of community we share, as well as reduce traffic and parking violations."

Yes

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:

Our science library loans, rugged, simple bikes that are able to withstand heavy use and require only routine maintenance. Faculty, staff and students may check out the bikes from the library for a 4 hour period. Each borrower is issued a bike lock and offered a helmet.

In fall of 2013 a free EV charging station was installed on campus as part of a public-private partnership to develop EV charging infrastructure throughout New York.

The University owns and rents houses that border one edge of our campus. This service allows visiting and new employees to live close to campus during their temporary stay or until they find more permanent housing.

The University offers a vacation bus service for students to share the ride when returning home for breaks. Additionally, the University offeres a transportation service to shuttle groups of students, faculty, and staff to : bus depots, rail depots, and airports.
