A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome :
Beyond purchasing green cleaning products, Stark State College has implemented a Green Cleaning Standard & Plan that complies with LEED Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) requirements for a Green Cleaning Policy. This policy applies to the Main Campus and all Satellite locations operated by Stark State College. The Green Cleaning Standard and Plan incorporates the following: quality assurance control process, cleaning products, cleaning equipment, record keeping, hard-floor and carpet maintenance, entryway systems, hand hygiene, handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, use of chemical concentrates and dilution systems, vulnerable building occupants, staffing and training, and occupant feedback and evaluation of new technologies.
