Yes

A brief description of how multiple stakeholder groups were involved in developing the plan:

As part of SUNY new Facilities Master Plan (FMP) Initiative, the SUNY Cortland Facilities Master Plan Over Sight Committee(FMPOC) initiated a Sustainability Master Plan to be prepared in junction with the FMP. This plan has assisted the campus in the development of the Climate Action Plan.
The Sustainability Master Plan is organized to correspond with the STARS categories. Categories relating to academic and research initiatives as well as some organizational initiatives are supplemented by the College as initiatives are developed. Some of these initiatives are underway and are further described in this plan. A link to the master plan is provided.

A brief description of the plan’s measurable goals :

The Sustainability Master Plan provides the College with a comprehensive sustainability framework organized by six sustainability elements.
• Energy & Climate
• Transportation
• Natural Systems
• Water
• Materials & Resources
• Community
Issues, goals, and strategies for each element are identified. The focus of the analysis
for this report is on energy and transportation. The over arching goals are:

-To adopt the 2005 carbon foot print and to monitor the footprint on a three year basis
-To adopt 2050 as our carbon neutral year and measure this on a regular basis

-To hire a sustainability coordinator

A brief description of how progress in meeting the plan’s goals is measured:

Most of this Plan's recommendations were adopted and/or implemented and as part of the action plan annual update, a survey will be performed by a focused science class.

The Climate Action Committee is also in process of developing three sub-committees to oversee and assess the financial, physical and academic progress.
