A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

The college's main goal is to reduce its green house gas (GHG) emissions overall by 80-85% by 2050 including indirect emissions associated with food served on campus.


A brief summary of the climate plan’s short-term goals:

Short term goals are:
1- College will reduce its GHG for 2014 by 20% from 2006-7
2- Update the Climate Action Plan every two years
3- Prepare an annual progress report including financial report on items/actions greater than $5k. Report to be based on the data required by STARS
4- Campus Sustainability Coordinator and Energy Manager will present the progress to campus community.
5- A permanent committee to be established by the president to provide policies and strategic plans to implement the action plan as well as a committee to prepare the financial plan.
6- The ASC to create a general sustainable food policy and a five year plan for increasing the use of local/organic foods.
7-Hire an Energy Manager.
