A brief description of the institution’s program(s) to encourage student research in sustainability:

Senior Research is required for all students a Stetson University, and all environmental Science students complete a year long research project. Projects of high merit are selected for further, extracurricular development with a faculty member for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

A brief description of the institution’s program(s) to encourage faculty research in sustainability:

Through Stetson GREEN (Global and Regional Eco-expertise Network), an annual workshop helps faculty (and staff) to develop scholarship and teaching a specific theme in sustainability. These projects are often oriented to local community and campus subjects. On July 20, 2011 a workshop was held to help develop activities related to the theme of water sustainability.
