The New School's Design, Construction & Facilities Management division drafted Construction Waste Management and Disposal specifications at the start of FY11. All projects moving forward are required to meet the following specifications modeled after the LEED waste management credit:

The end-of-Project recycling rate shall equal, at minimum, 75% by weight or volume of the total project waste from construction and demolition. Contractors are required to submit monthly progress reports to the Project Manager as well as all on-site logs, weight tickets and receipts.

These figures are from all projects that took place in FY11, which includes the demolition of 65 Fifth Avenue, where the LEED-NC University Center is currently being constructed. Other projects include the renovation of the Student Health Services Center (80 Fifth Ave) and the Student Study Center (90 Fifth Ave).
