The Ohio State University at Lima (Ohio State Lima) is located on an expanse of 565 acres of wooded landscape in northwest-central Ohio. The co-located institutions Ohio State Lima and Rhodes State College comprise the Lima Campus. Founded in 1960, the campus has an expansive nature area and extensive natural trails.

Lima Campus groundskeeping staff are responsible for the care of campus grounds, which includes mowing, weeding, leaf removal, turf renovation, ornamental and herbaceous planting, pruning and removals.
Also, activities include daily policing of campus grounds to remove trash and debris from lawn, roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, building entryways.
Maintenance and repair of trucks, tractors, riding mowers, golf carts, snow plows, lawn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws and hand tools are provided by this department.
During the winter, grounds staff are responsible for the removal of snow and ice from parking lots, roadways and sidewalks.
