A brief summary of the climate plan’s long-term goals:

The TRU Campus Sustainability Action Plan includes the goal of becoming a carbon neutral campus, which has been met. The University pays offset fees as required by the Government of British Columbia. The campus is making steps to meet the Green House Gas Reductions Target Act (GGRTA). The act’s long-term goals include reducing greenhouse gas emission to 50% below 2007 levels by 2020 and 80% below 2007 levels by 2050.
