A brief summary of papers, guides, presentations, and other resources the institution has developed to share their sustainability experience with other institutions:
This TRU Office of Environment and Sustainability's Director, Jim Gudjonson, has presented on revolving funds for the organization, The Billion Dollar Challenge, but he cannot find the presentation. He also acted as a technical advisor to other universities/colleges on how they can set-up such funds.
Jim has also presented to eight other universities or colleges that are part of the Workplace Conservation Awareness Advanced Education working group (sponsored by BC Hydro) on the subject of effectively using social media.
Our Energy Specialist, Natalie Yao, presented to many universities and colleges during a BC Hydro Energy Manager and Energy Specialist training day also on the topic of effectively using socail meeting to reach key audiences.

BC Colleges and Universities Climate Change Working Group (our Director, Jim Gudjonson, is Co-Chair); Canadian Alliance of College and University Sustainability Professionals; Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education;
BC Povincial Carbon Neutral Committee--Higher Education Group (again, represented by our Director. This group reports to the BC Climate Action Secreteriat's Office every 3 months); Workplace Conservation Awareness Advanced Education working group; BC Hydro Energy Manager and Energy Specialist training group.
A brief summary of additional ways the institution collaborates with other campuses to advance sustainability :
TRU is also involved in the annual Campus Conservation Nationals event (both in 2014 and will be again in Jan/Feb/Mar 2015). This event has universities/colleges compete against each other to see how much electricity and/or water they can conserve over a three week competition period compared to a three week baseline period. The event is structured so that building occupants within buildings that are part of the competion at each institution can simultaneously compete against other buldings at their institution and in an institution vs. institution competition.
