Tufts University does not have a written plan specific to Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) issues but has had IAQ procedures in place for at least the last 15 years. Air quality is monitored by the Environmental Health and Safety department. The EH&S website has a URL that allows members of the Tufts community to contact them to register concerns. (http://publicsafety.tufts.edu/ehs/indoor-air-quality/)
When EH&S receives a concern or complaint, they respond within 24 hours. They then work with other departments such as Facilities to correct the problem. In extreme circumstances, EH&S brings in consultants to assist with complicated air quality problems, although this is very rare.
Tufts also follows both the Massachusetts Building Code requirements (found at http://www.mass.gov/Elwd/docs/dos/iaq/iaq_392_mechanical_vent.pdf), as well as ASHRAE Standards for ventilation (found at http://www.ebtron.com/pdf/general/ASHRAE62_Synopsis_021003.pdf).
