Has the institution assessed attitudes about diversity and equity on campus in a way that meets the criteria for this credit?:
Yes

A brief description of the assessment(s):

In 2011, the Diversity Committee conducted an online Diversity Survey for each population sector on campus: students, staff, and faculty.

In 2006-2007, the Diversity Committee was charged in the Strategic Plan with conducting "a diversity audit which includes campus climate, culture, physical plant and identification of key populations."

Year the assessment was last administered:
2,011

A brief description of how the results of the assessment(s) are used in shaping policy, programs, and initiatives:

The Diversity Committee will present the results of the latest survey this fall semester and use information gathered to plan subsequent public activities and appropriate trainings.

That 2007 audit helped the president and Leadership Council develop their charge for the Committee. The Strategic Plan itself identified 22 action steps under the "Critical Priority Issue: Diversity and Campus Culture." The 2009 update/review of the campus plan documented that 20 of those 22 action steps had been partially or fully met.
