A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:

Every year we have three different events. During this events the Sustainability Center provides students opportunities to participate and get involve to work toward a more sustainable future.

Gente UDEM: Once a year (every August) a massive welcoming event takes place at the university. Each new student participates in different activities; one of this activities focuses on sustainability. During this activites we explain students what programs we have, how can they participate and work together to create a more sustainable community.

Soy UDEM: Twice a year, prospect students visit UDEM. During this event the Sustainability Center promotes educational activities and invites the future students to learn more about our programs and projects to create a more sustainable world.

First Year School: Every new student must attend the First Year School program, during this time they get involve in different activities that are offered at UDEM, from cultural events to leadership and sustainability activities. Within this programa we offer a one hour talk we explain students the campus' waste separation system, different ways to save water, what are sustainable communities, what campus' events support fair trade and how they can collaborate with us throughout the whole year.
