A brief description of the institution's stormwater management initiatives:

UB has a policy/plan/strategy to reduce storm runoff from new development and from ongoing campus operations in the form of a Stormwater Management Plan. It is currently in draft form, but has buy-in from the main stakeholders. Stormwater initiatives include recently installed north campus rain gardens; the management of the South Campus as a registered MS4 entity when it does not need to be; continued pursuit of innovative storm management solutions for new construction projects; scheduled storm sewer replacement/repair project for the North Campus.
