A brief description of the programs sponsored by the institution to support underrepresented groups within the student body:

The University at Buffalo offers a variety of competence trainings and activities related to cultural diversity, and these programs are made available to all students through the Intercultural and Diversity Center. In addition to the Intercultural and Diversity Center, multiple other departments (such as the Center for Academic Development Services) are also involved in supporting underrepresented groups within the student body. For example, the Counseling Center has counselors and psychologists who serve specific underrepresented student populations.
