The Saver Saves scheme is part of the university's ISO50001 certification. The scheme involves targeting the departments and/or buildings within the university that are "significant energy users". The annual energy budget is then devolved to these departments and a team is put together to drive energy efficiency and savings projects. The monetary savings made then remain with the department to be reinvested in future environmental projects. There are currently 7 teams across the university at various stages of this scheme.
