A brief description of the program:

UAlberta’s preferred supplier for printing, duplicating and related products is the McCallum Printing Group. This company is a local print supplier that has been operating in Edmonton since 2004. McCallum went through the competitive bidding process as governed by the relevant trade agreements, and they were successful in becoming the main supplier for the university. They also operate an office on North Campus of the university. In addition to being a local supplier, McCallum has demonstrated an outstanding environmental commitment.

The Office of Sustainability (OS) provides prompts and incentives to help members of the campus community to engage in sustainable behaviours. The OS has taken great care to choose products that not only model sustainable characteristics (such as being made from reused materials) but are also sourced from the nearest local supplier who demonstrates commitment to sustainability. In addition to the majority of the annual spend on prompts and incentives being allocated to local suppliers, the OS uses a local caterer for many of their events that serve the campus community.

UAlberta's Conference Services require customers to use Classic Fare Catering - a local, preferred supplier in their facilities.

UAlberta shredding services are coordinated by a local, preferred vendor - Merlin Shredding.
