Razorback Recycling, which services almost all of the recycling at the University of Arkansas now accepts all forms of plastics (numbers 1-7). Previously the recycling program could only accommodate plastics #1 and #2.
A brief description of any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation (if not reported above):
This expansion of the Razorback Recycling system has been estimated to increase the weight of recyclables collected by 5%. While these plastics are not currently a valuable commodity, an increase in clean supply of this material will lead to a greater demand from industry for these materials.
