UC Davis was named the #3 Government Green Fleet in the nation in 2011, and was identified as #22 of the 100 Best Government Fleets in North America for 2011. UC Davis Fleet Services has been recognized by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency and California Department of Toxic Substance Control for excellence in sustainable fleet operations. As far as Fleet Service staff have been able to ascertain, UC Davis has the only Plug-in Hybrid Electric car share remote vehicle pool in operation in a higher education setting and has the only B20 biodiesel powered sedan fleet program in a higher education setting.
