UC Irvine is a national leader in green building design and implementation with 17 LEED New Construction Platinum Buildings and 10 LEED New Construction Gold Buildings. UCI worked collaboratively with the US Green Building Council over the last decade to develop a campuswide systems approach to green building certification and that general model has contributed to the successful certification of this large portfolio of green buildings.
