Does the institution have policies and/or programs in place to reduce emissions from air travel?:
Yes

A brief description of the policies and/or programs:

As of 2010, the University of California, Santa Barbara has included GHG emissions from air travel in the CAP. We encourage the use of video conferencing and have multiple options, ranging from webX and GoToMeeting to polycom systems and fully staffed videoconferencing facilities to select from. The campus has been exploring systemwide options to further streamline these offerings and help incentivise travel as a secondary option. We are also revisiting our travel emissions calculations to further hone them and ensure we have the best estimates possible for 2000 and 1990 for target reductions.
