The University has provided in-person mentoring sessions covering such topics as renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy conservation and water conservation. The City and the University have also begun collaborating on a Department of Energy SunShot funding opportunity with other community stakeholders to provide solar PV opportunities to LMI households.

In conjunction to providing in-person mentoring sessions covering such topics as renewable energy,energy efficiency, energy conservation and water conservation, UCF has also been involved in Green Teach initiatives at one OCPS Elementary School, and a judge and donor for the Green Schools Recognition Program. The University has historically sponsored the Innovation category of the Green Schools Program.

University faculty/staff within the Office of Sustainability Initiatives built a portable incubator to test water samples for Missionaries of the Poor in Kingston Jamaica. It will also be used for many other NGO’s.
