CUSG has a budget of over $24 million and directly oversees the UMC (Student Center) and the Recreation Center. They also have an agreement with the university to operate these units and have control over their expenditures independently. CUSG also oversees several resource centers and advocacy programs

Staff Council is a way for the staff to be represented and member of this council are assigned to various committees on campus to represent all staff's interest.
