Larger vendors source local produce, meat, eggs, bread products and other foods as available. Our meat and eggs come almost exclusively from local sources. Dining Services has a goal to increase the percentage of the total spend on food that is locally sourced.

Our data on local foods comes from tracking done by larger vendors, and through internal tracking of smaller purchases from local vendors. We use a software program called CBORD, FSS (Food Service Suite) to track all of our purchases and inventory
