A brief description of how weather data or sensors are used:

Rain sensors are used in all irrigation controls around campus. These sensors override automatic irrigation when a sufficient amount of precipitation or rainfall is detected. Additionally, in some locations UGA utilizes evapo-transpiration rates to regulate the amount of water delivered to a particular area.
