Extensive recruitment and interview processes where students are asked to express their desire to enhance campus sustainability. Student educators are tested in communication, campus pride, sustainability knowledge and passion.


A brief description of the formal training that the student educators receive (1st program):

All student educators attend a 4 hour orientation with Green UH professional staff where they get an overview of the campus sustainability mission, programs and services. Additionally, the student team meets weekly to brainstorm, plan and coordinate Green UH programs such as Green UH Day, RecycleMania and Earth Day Carnival.

Green UH Student team is managed and mentored by University Services Marketing department and they receive financial resources through a small sustainability fund dedicated to Green UH activities.
