www.uh.edu/green is the place where you can find, and learn about universities efforts for being sustainable. This URL includes every aspect of ebing sustainable which not only includes recycling but also dining, parking and transportation, UH bookstore, printing and postals, the vending machines and many more initiatives. Check it out!!!

UH moddy towers dining services has signage reading vegan and vegetatrian counters. All the food stations have signages stating the amount of calories, fats, proteins for the ingrediants used in the meal would contain.

University has developed its eco tour guide which helps to spot out the sustainable locations on campus.

University has all the different routes posible for anyone to come on campus. Alternative method includes Metro bus, car-sharing, van pooling, motor cycle and bikes.

UH current students, graduating students and faculy/staff takes a pledge towards being sustainable.

UH departments compete amonst each other to be more sustainable. Departments upon taking the survey are then certified with the level of sustainability achieved. The survey includes water conservation, waste minimization techniques, recycling, energy conservation, parking and trasnportation.

UH- University Services buy pens that are made up of recycled content. It distrbutes to new incoming students during orientations and Earth Day events.
