A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:

The UI Office of Sustainability tables at each new student orientation day held through the summer. Helpful information about recycling, environmental student groups, volunteer opportunities and much more is offered during these events. UI Office of Sustainability staff meet directly with incoming students and parents, answer questions and offer advice as to how to get involved in campus sustainability activities and how to live green on campus. The OS also participates in Resident Advisory training and at the student volunteer fair.
