A brief description of the employee wellness program, policy, or practice:

The University of Kansas Human Resources and Equal Opportunity Department offers a number of employee wellness programs, and coordinates their efforts with the Wellness Resource Center at Student Health Services and the state Employee Assistance Program that provides information, short-term counseling, advice, and referrals from licensed professionals for employees, family members in the same household, and dependent children. Programs include health assessments, flu shots, tobacco cessation programs and weight reduction.

KU Dining Services also provides nutrition and wellness on-line tools for all staff, faculty and students including web-based menus with NetNutrition (nutritional analysis) program, Ask-a-Dietitian; Better Bites Healthy Eating program as well as monthly nutrition educational materials and displays.
