The University of Manitoba has an office dedicated to sustainability (Office of Sustainability), with a Director of Sustainability , and sustainability integration on a variety of different topics and areas across campus.

The University of Manitoba has a Sustainability Advisory Committee currently chaired by Dr. John Sinclair of the Natural Resource Institute. The committee meets ten times per year and advises the Vice President Administration and Vice President Academic on sustainability-related directions and activities. Membership includes 4 faculty representatives, 4 undergraduate and graduate students and 4 administrative staff (representative of different operational units, including Office of Sustainability, Physical Plant, Campus Planning Office and Purchasing). Administrative support is provided to the Committee by the Office of Sustainability.
