A brief description of the institution's water-related behavior change initiatives, e.g. initiatives to shift individual attitudes and practices such as signage and competitions:

The University of Manitoba is replacing water fountains with the bottle refill stations to promote use of reusable water bottles.

A brief description of the institution's water recovery and reuse initiatives:

The University of Manitoba made changes to their heating and cooling water loop significantly reducing their water consumption. The loop was made to be constantly reusing water (closed loop system) distributing hot and cold water based on the needs of each building.

A brief description of the institution's initiatives to replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, appliances, equipment, and systems with water-efficient alternatives (e.g. building retrofits):

The University is working to upgrade fixtures and install water-efficient fixtures in new buildings as is possible. With many buildings on the Fort Garry campus exceeding 100 years in age, some plumbing systems are not able to handle water-efficient alternatives. So replacements are being done on an "as possible" bases. .
