Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

UMass Lowell does not have Teaching Fellowships restricted to underrepresented groups. However, in an effort to diversify the faculty this year, the Provost urged Deans to recruit new faculty from underrepresented groups, with the commitment that additional faculty lines would be allocated if these searches were successful. Subsequently, the Criminal Justice Department has hired two new faculty at the Associate Professor level with Tenure, one African-American and one Hispanic American.

Mentoring for doctoral and postdoctoral students is conducted primarily by faculty advisors. Study groups and support groups form spontaneously, but we do not have any groups specifically dedicated to underrepresented groups.
