Does the institution prioritize the use of native plant species in landscaping?:
Yes

A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:

We choose plants based on the conditions of the site, the design intent, and the expected aesthetic of the area. Areas of North Campus have a more naturalistic expectation when it comes to aesthetics. The more developed areas do not. We give preference to native, from native seed source or stock, or adapted plants. We do not use plants that are listed as invasive by reliable sources. We are probably most aggressive in the use of natives when it comes to trees. The majority of the trees that we plant are native or from native stock. We do use improved cultivars of native species.
