Data source(s) and notes about the submission:

The data submitted for the Continuing Education courses comes from our current Coursera offerings at the time of submission. We are using Coursera courses as a proxy for all U-M Continuing Education offerings because there is no way to gather data on all U-M continuing ed offerings. Such offerings originate at many levels (e.g., school/college, departments, institutes, centers, programs, alumni association, etc.). There is no centralized system in place to identify how many courses are offered, who's offering them, and what their content is. Because Coursera is a university-sanctioned platform that is open to faculty throughout the university, we believe it provides a reliable and relevant proxy for all Continuing Ed offerings across the university.
